Overused: Godsend

Added to my list of overused words -- Godsend.

As in, "my iPod is a Godsend" or "that new gas station is a Godsend."

Penicillin was a Godsend.

Those other things are merely conveniences.

Al Gore -- Climate Change Eye Candy

Nobel laureate and climate researcher John Christy essentially characterizes Al Gore as the Paris Hilton of climate change.

Nice to read a sober, intelligent, informed discussion of climate change from someone who's dedicated his life to studying it.

You don't win Oscars that way though.
