There were 1/2 million people there - so just by chance alone they would be there.
I don't know if that holds up statistically.I certainly didn't hold up culturally.Although early on, the guys in Sha Na Na were kind of freaks -- running around doing odd stuff and wearing weird costumes -- sort of a East Coast, Doo-wop early version of the Tubes.It was only later in the mid-70s when they went mainstream
Clearly, as illustrated by the pic, they didn't have the guns you do.
