With Senate hearings winding down, it looks like the Democrats couldn't lay a glove on prospective Supreme Sam Alito, try though they might.
Through 18 hours and 700 questions, they accused him of everything from a racism to kicking the dog, but Alito wouldn't bite. His answers were thoughtful and scholarly, but he refused to walk into any of the traps they set for him.
Oh, they did manage to make his wife cry though. Nice.
