Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff has taken a plea in his corruption trial, and politicians are doing the usual running and hiding and fingerpointing.
The Bush administration and Republican House Speaker Dennis Hastert donated their Abramoff booty to charity.
Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean says Bush should give back more, but he might look to his own party first.
The Washington Post reported last year that Republicans weren't the only one's benefiting from Abramoff's largesse. A short list of Dems taking money from him includes:
Tom Daschle
Harry Reid
Dick Gephardt
Patrick Kennedy
Patty Murray
Byron Dorgan
Money lobbying is a dirty business, and Washington will be better without Abramoff. But for anyone to think that this unseemly conduct is confined to one side of the aisle is naive at best and delusional at worst.

Well, I'd suggest you take a look at the WaPo article I linked to, which provides a fair amount of detail on which Dems accepted what from Abramoff.
And there are plenty of other crooks and swindlers supplying money to the those left side of the aisle as well.
I'd like to see a full review of Nancy Pelosi's campaign finances and lobbying interests for funny business -- she's number two behind Tom Delay for passing around campaign cash within Congress.
